On this day, Thursday, 5/3/2007, this is me:

I'm old. At least my body is, I think it's possible my brain is beginning its second childhood. Born 10-12-47, later this year I will ?celebrate? the big SIX OH.

Wayne married me and four children back in 1980. He is almost 5 years younger than me and has promised that means I get to go first. I'm not strong enough to lose him.

The "kids" are two daughters, Tonya and Kim; two sons, Chad and Scott all of whom are in their 30s and 40s. Tonya and Scott live here in Wichita, Chad lives in Boston and we see him only two or three times a year but talk and email often, Kim lives about an hour and a half away and we never see her (long sad story I try not to dwell on, although it's a realization always with me).

Wayne tells people his daughters breed well in captivity. Tonya has five children -- four sons and a daughter we are very close to and get to spoil often. Scott has a daughter we also see and spoil badly. Kim has four children -- three sons and a daughter we never see and don't know. Chad has no children (or wife for that matter!). His job keeps him busy busy.

Wayne has been employed as a Techinical Illustrator at a local aircraft company for over 30 years. I am a kept woman. I worked most of my adult life and finally realized my ambition of being a bum. I am very good at my new position, doing whatever I choose and then resting afterward. I spend my days in the pleasant company of our two cats, Tigger and Pita and our dog Ginger.

There is nothing remarkable about me. I am average in every way. On the chubby side, greying, average intelligence. I look like ALL the before photos.

That's all folks!
